Cruelty makes people crueler
The title just screams Simon Legree, I cannot stand this man nor would even give him the time of day. In fact, I got so angry that I wanted to go back in time or (if possible just punch the bajeeze out of him through the book, and this is coming from someone who doesn't resort to violence) I think this man is disgusting, cold-hearted, and self-centered. He thinks he has the power to dictate people's lives and be God; which in reality he can't. Legree also reminds me of the people today in our society and even our politicians. I used to be very big in poltics until I realized that all politicians want is money, and lots of it. They don't care about the people...which is something I find funny because doesn't the Preamble say "We The People of the United States"? I feel that we do have cruel people in the world---both in politics, criminals, and even just straight up bad personalities that find it funny to hurt others (which it's obvious that they are insecure about something in their own lives) I'm scared for the economy and the next generation and feel that we lack so many qualitities...I kind of wish we could bring back respect and manners that we have obviously lost.
